Group BTS has made a new history of winning two categories at the Billboard Music Awards.

BTS won the Top Social Artist and Top Duo/Group awards at the "2019 Billboard Music Awards" at MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on May 1.

On the same day, BTS attended a red carpet event that preceded the full-fledged awards ceremony and won the "Top Social Artist" category for the third consecutive year.

Especially, they proved their influence as a global superstar by winning the trophy in the "top duo/group" category, which was first nominated this year.

In his acceptance speech for Top Duo/Group Artist, BTS shouted, "Thank you for your AMY! We can't believe I'm standing on this stage with such wonderful and great artists." And added word "It's thanks to the 'little things' we shared together that all this was possible. This is the power of BTS and Amy, We are still the boys six years ago. I have the same dream and the same fears and thoughts. Let's keep having the best dreams together," 

BTS, Standing on stage as a performer, then performed the album MAP OF THE SOUL: PERSONA's title track "Boy With Luv" released on April 12. they performed the first collaboration performance in the world with world-renowned singer-songwriter Halsey, who participated in the song's featuring.

As well as a powerful performance, BTS worked with Halsey to give them a perfect live performance, drawing heated cheers from many artists and fans who filled the awards ceremony. In the audience, the stage ended with a swarm singing along with BTS' song, and a tremendous roar and standing ovation.

 ‘The 2019 Billboard Music Awards" compiled about a year of album and digital music sales from March 23, 2018 (local time) to March 7, 2019, and selected candidates based on chart records, and announced winners at the May 1 awards ceremony.
