BTS marked the largest sales in the history of Gaon's album chart, with group BTS topping 3.22 million copies with its MAP OF THE SOUL: PERSONA album.


According to the April 2019 monthly album chart released by Gaon Chart, a South Korean authorized music chart, BTS' MAP OF THE SOUL: PERSONA topped the monthly album chart with sales of 3.22 million copies in 19 days since its release on April 12.


With this, BTS broke their own record of 2.19 million copies of Gaon Chart's single album, which was set last year with LOVE YOURSELF ANnswer.


BTS also topped the download chart for April, which went to the title track "Boy With Luv" for a total of two gold medals.

Previously, BTS' MAP OF THE SOUL: PERSONA drew attention as it sold 2.68 million pre-orders and 2.13 million copies in the first week of release. It is also setting an all-time high by topping the Billboard 200 list in the U.S. and becoming the first Korean singer to top the U.K.'s "Official Albums Chart Top 100."


BTS successfully completed their performance at Rose Bowl Stadium in Los Angeles on May (local time) and May 5 and continue their tour of "LOVE YOURSELF: SPEAK YOUOURSELF" at Chicago's Soldier Field on May 11 and 12.
